Oil rig stock photograph of the Oseberg Field Centre located about 130km NW of Bergen, on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The Oseberg Field centre includes three platforms. Oseberg A with process equipment and living quarters, Oseberg B with the drilling, production and injection equipment and Oseberg C with gas processing and export equipment. All three platforms are connected via bridges. Oseberg C lies about 14km north of the field centre.
The Oseberg oil field lies at a depth of approximately 100m. It was discovered in 1979 and is operated by Statoil in partnership with Petoro, Total, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips.
This offshore oil and gas stock image was taken from the DOF-owned Skandi Bergen vessel, a multipurpose support vessel with two working class Schilling remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
