The Transocean Searcher is a semi-submersible drilling unit capable of operating in harsh environments and water depths up to 1,500 feet. It is owned by Transocean, the worlds largest offshore drilling contractor.

This stock oil rig photo of the Transocean Searcher was taken from the M/V Geofjord. Originally owned and operated by DOF Subsea, the Geofjord is now owned by Jas Marine in Malaysia. It was taken in the Statfjord oil field area in the Norwegian part of the North Sea.
