This stock oil rig photo was taken from the helideck of the M/V Geofjord. Originally owned and operated by DOF Subsea, the Geofjord is now owned by Jas Marine in Malaysia.
The image was taken while in the Troll oil and gas field which is about 65km west of Bergen in the northern part of the North Sea. It is one of the largest oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf and is operated by Statoil.
