Oil Rig Photos

Block 31 PSVM (Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte) fields are located in the North East sector of Block 31 at a depth of approximately 2000m. The fields lay about 400 kilometres north west of Luanda in Angola and are operated by BP.

Shown is a stock image of the Heerema owned Deepwater Construction Vessel (DCV) Balder. The Balder was built as a semi-submersible crane vessel in 1978 and converted to a DCV in 2001. In the distance, the crew vessel Milton McCall and the supply vessel President Hubert stand by.

This oil rig stock photograph was taken from the URS owned Union Manta vessel. The Union Manta is an anchor handling tug supply vessel. Shown is the Union Mantas Schilling UHD ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) being launched from the back deck to begin pipeline survey and construction work.
